Sarah Highlen, Director, Internet Development

With over 10 years of experience at The Grossbauer Group, Sarah manages major Web development projects from the stage of creative concept through to programming, quality assurance, and final publication. Sarah maintains expert knowledge of current XHTML and CSS standards, as well as search engine optimization (SEO) strategies. Sarah studied communications and design at Valparaiso University and liberal arts as a National Merit Scholarship recipient at the University of Oklahoma.
Adam Ispas, Creative Director

Adam brings a high level of creative focus to communications projects, drawing on rich and varied experience with print ads, postcards, logos, brand identity, trade show displays, and unique presentation and packaging concepts for a range of clients. Adam holds a BS in Graphic Design (minor in Art History) from Indiana State University.
Norma Jean Juel, Communications Project Manager

Norma Jean brings over 10 years of office management experience to her position at The Grossbauer Group. Working closely with Sue Grossbauer and the Web Design and Creative Teams, she provides editing/proofing support for our client base, works with presentations, and helps coordinate the activities of the office. Her employment experiences will continue to bring strong organizational, communication and customer service to her position at The Grossbauer Group. Norma Jean graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Public & Corporate Communications from Valparaiso University.
Hal Bernstein, Video Producer

Hal, an Emmy award-winning television news editor, has recently joined our consulting team this spring after leaving his position at NBC-Chicago to pursue a new direction. With well over 20 years of experience in virtually every facet of network television production, Hal provides even greater depth to our range of skills in video and multimedia production.
Jason Adams, Web Developer

Jason brings to the table over six years of experience in Web interface design and Flash and multimedia programming. He is also an accomplished illustrator and has developed everything from Flash cartoons and interactive tutorials to portraits and medical diagrams. Jason holds a degree in Commercial Art and Design, and regularly attends seminars to keep up with the latest in Flash technology.

As a designer, he has worked with employers and clients to develop corporate and brand identities, as well as market positioning. Jason brings several cumulative years of web development experience to The Grossbauer Group. Along with being one of the key web development team members, Jason specializes in SEO and SEM projects, and assists with project planning. Jason studied Computer Science at Purdue and is currently expanding his knowledge of database-driven website development, including PHP and ASP.NET.

Joe is a student at Purdue University studying pharmaceutical science. Joe coordinates and performs maintenance for many client websites. A computer enthusiast, Joe enjoys the technical aspects of website development and is especially skilled at troubleshooting and perfecting web programming components.
Joe Grossbauer, Vice President

Joe managed media services for Mercy Hospital (Chicago) for 18 years, overseeing the work of a creative staff including graphic designers, photographers, and others. In this role, he worked closely with a range of marketing executives to facilitate news media coverage and support marketing objectives. He has also served on the faculty of Columbia College (Chicago) teaching video production and media services management, and has taught at The Winona School of Photography. He has recently served as President of the Chicago Public Radio Community Advisory Council. Joe holds a BS in Communications from Northwestern University.
Sue Grossbauer, President

Sue has served as a project manager, author, trade media editor, and production manager for a variety of Internet development, marketing, and educational projects for service-oriented organizations nationwide. She combines a love of life sciences with management and communications experience to craft messages that fit organizations' objectives. She has spearheaded Internet development projects and published textbooks, online courses, and trade magazine articles, with emphasis in healthcare and nutrition/food, and has served in editorial positions for leading foodservice industry magazines.
